Austempering Heat Treatment Salt is used to increase strength, toughness, as well as reduce distortion too. This salt is used for heat treatment operations of steel, due to its low melting and wide working range. This salt includes preheating for hardening sub-critical annealing, high temperature drawing, and hot quenching of high alloy tool steels. Austempering Heat Treatment Salt is known for its higher ductility at high hardness, increased strength, greater fatigue life, less distortion and cracking. MTS-151 - Working Range 145oC to 550^oC

Salt specially developed as aquenching medium for mar tempering and aus tempering. Also used for low tempering after hardening.
